This innovative and young company (±90 FTE) makes trading in crypto coins accessible and safe for everyone with their own customized platform and is a leader in Europe. Originally, they focused purely on buying and selling crypto coins as an intermediary. However, a few years ago things suddenly went fast and more and more people wanted to get in, even people without any knowledge of the business. The big stumbling block for many people turned out to be the storage of crypto coins. As a result of this, our customer has developed an application. Everything you buy is stored in that app. Selling is also easy via the app. The vast majority of coins storage is managed offline, so that it remains inaccessible to hackers. The international IT team is 20-25 FTE and mainly consists of Software Developers. The atmosphere is very relaxed: everyone is easily approachable, decisions are made transparently and together, activities / outings are undertaken and own initiatives are valued.
You will become part of an international and ambitious team of passionate Developers. There are 2 Development teams working on different solutions and different technology stack. Your team is working on the app and consists of 7 (Java) Back-end Developers and 3 Front-end Developers. You work together on high-end applications that are designed for thousands of transactions per second. The products you build are used by millions of people worldwide. There is no rigid hierarchy; decisions are team-driven and there is plenty of room to come up with your own ideas / innovations and to develop them further. There is a real team spirit where everyone is equal. They also work as a team; they review each other’s work, so you have to have the courage to give but also to receive feedback. Technical knowledge is of course important, but the drive to pick up new techniques/frameworks is more important than having worked with the exact same frameworks. Finally: Ownership mentality is very important! – Technology / Methods – Java (8+, version 17 is on the roadmap), OOP, Design Patterns, Microservices Architecture, Spring Boot, Spring Data, Spring Security, Spring Webflux, RESTful API’s, GPRC, Junit, Git, Reactive Programming, GoogleCloud (GCP), Docker, Kubernetes, CQRS, DDD, Axon, Scrum.
• HBO thinking and working level; • At least 4 years of experience as a Software Developer with Java; • Experience with Spring (Boot, Data, Security, Webflux, etc.); • Strong communicator and ownership mentality!
Annual contract (then permanent), good salary (up to €7,000 gross), the possibility to (partly) be paid out in crypto coins, 25 vacation days, 8% holiday pay, pension scheme (8% employer contribution / personal contribution can be determined by yourself), bonus based on profit (minimum 13th month, but it can also be a 14th month), laptop of your choice, public transport card or KM allowance, working from home (50/50), 32 to 40 hour working week, growing into a role als Lead Developer (if you want..).
